| 18-20 April 2013 | MASS This explosive dance production tests the mettle of personal relationships when communities are sieged with intense experiences such as natural disasters. Company Conversations will be held after the main performance on 19th April, an opportunity to experience behind the scenes at Dancenorth and learn about the Dance Industry. The company will return to the stage for an intimate opportunity for the audience to ask the company questions whilst the dancers sit in ice. | 24 July - 1 August 2013 | ABANDON Collaboration between Dancenorth and Opera Queensland Featuring music by G.F. Händel. A synthesis of sublime baroque music and contemporary physical theatre, where singers from Opera Queensland, phenomenal athletes from Dancenorth and brilliant musicians meet in a landscape of the imagination. Inspired by the extreme human emotions expressed in Händel's incomparable arias, ABANDON is a music-theatre adventure co-created by three leading artists: choreographer Raewyn Hill, renowned classical accordionist/Music Director James Crabb and director Lindy Hume. Raewyn is creating 5 solo works with Dancenorth dancers France Hervé, Bradley Chatfield, Erynne Mulholland, Thomas Gundry Greenfield, Alice Hinde and Andrew Searle. In the final weeks of rehearsals the dancers, singers and musicians will come together in Townsville with Raewyn, Lindy and James working together to create the full-length production.
