ABOUT

Jacinta Wight is passionate about giving to the community that has given so much to her and is deeply motivated by the need to ensure that there is a space for everyone to thrive and tell their story.

Jacinta is admitted as a lawyer and is the Manager of the Office of the Regional Director for Youth Justice in North Queensland, working across Townsville, Mount Isa, Mackay and the surrounding areas.

As a Townsville local and long-time supporter of the arts, she is consciously committed to preserving and enhancing the cultural longevity of the region, believing in the health, environmental and economic benefits that a thriving arts community can have on a city.

Jacinta is deeply inspired and influenced by the rich First Nations histories, cultures and generous artistic offerings in the region. She is an avid and gentle explorer of the natural world.

Jacinta is curious about the intersection of art, culture and the environment. She has built a deep relationship with Dancenorth, an incredible company that she believes is boldly breaking new ground in exploring gentle ways to live, to tell stories and to build a healthy community.
