Join Dancenorth for a behind-the-scenes look at Plagiary, an AI dance experiment by Alisdair Macindoe.
Under Construction provides an opportunity to meet Plagiary’s creative team in a relaxed conversation exploring how human creativity and AI technology merge to create a series of wild and surprising dance performances, show after show.
Alisdair will share insights from almost a decade of enquiry into AI-generated dance instruction; while Dancenorth’s Ensemble will reflect on their role in interpreting prompts in real-time, in front of an audience.
Questions and provocations are warmly welcomed. Drinks and nibbles will be supplied.

Accessibility
Dancenorth is located on the corner of Walker and Stanley Streets in Townsville City.
The ground floor of the venue is fully accessible, this includes the Dancenorth Theatre, foyer, bar, main offices and wheelchair accessible toilet. The main entrance is located at Stanley Street and accessible via wheelchair lift.
There is a drop off area outside the Clarion Hotel on Stanley Street, 50m from our main entrance.
