Join Dancenorth for an energising dance experience with new friends and great tunes! Weekly dance classes include opportunities to learn skills, practice sequences and express yourself creatively. Dancenorth welcomes anyone who identifies as d/Deaf or a person with disability.

What to expect

Who is welcome to attend?
Dancenorth welcomes anyone who identifies as d/Deaf or a person with disability. Disability includes chronic illness, sensory impairments, neurodivergence, invisible disability, mental illness, dynamic disability.
I can't come every week - can I come along intermittently?
Absolutely. Come along when it suits you!

Accessibility

Heatley Community Centre is located next to the Long Tan Pool in Heatley. There is plenty of free parking available. The Centre has a ramp for accessible entry.
Heatley Community Centre is the only local community centre with a polished wooden floor, ideal for dancing. There is plenty of access to seating.
Regrettably, this centre does not have wheelchair accessible toilets. Please be in touch with Dancenorth directly if this is a barrier to your participation.
Heatley Community Centre is airconditioned. The venue has good natural light, as well as additional overhead lighting.
There is a small kitchen with a fridge, microwave and a boiling water system.
