Serafina Lewis

Serafina is an emerging multi-disciplinary artist whose practice spans across dance, printmaking, painting, sculpture, and woodworking. Inspired by her passion for storytelling, she is ever curious to explore new mediums in which to express, develop and expand her creative practice.

As a Gurambilbarra (Townsville) local, Serafina started her dancing journey in 2023, as a participant in Dancenorth’s monthly Every Body Dance workshops.

In 2024, she was mentored by Jordan Galliott through the Dancenorth Partnership Program, where she honed her creative voice and choreographed a solo piece titled Dancing With Cats for that year’s International Day of People with Disability celebration, curated and presented by Dancenorth. 

Serafina now co-facilitates Every Body Dance as a Teaching Artist, transforming her classes into a contemporary dance exploration led by a Disabled artist, for Disabled participants - describing her journey to becoming a teacher as a beautiful full circle moment.
